I won't contest about them being well-written. But that's exactly what makes it disturbing: they just treat it TOO seriously, like they're screaming "THIS is how Herge should do it!!"
And what I REALLY hate about the fandom is how sanctimonious they are when rebuking me about speaking out about it, citing that I also draw naughty Tintin fanart (het ones, btw)and I'm a horrible homophobe because of it, nevermind that the slash fans do far worse, tasteless crap (my far more tame Tintin/female character his age vs their EveryOlderGuy in the comics/Tintin) and I don't flame the slashers in their private spaces.

Fujoshi (lit. "rotten girl") is a pejorative Japanese term for female fans of manga and novels that feature sexual relationships between men. I hate yaoi so much because it really ruins the characteristics.

I think fangirls REALLY I mean REALLY have no life.
They should really get out to the world, and see what "true" love is.

I just do not understand what its all about! its so unbelievable and weird. I want to state I have nothing against homosexuals but I just find yaoi too weird I don't like the idea of the fan yaoi either! the worst was a full on lightxL doujinshi which I accidentally stumbled upon put me off yaoi for life. Instead of making a girl go WOW THATS HOTT. I found myself trying not to throw up. I have often wondered whether I was a bit weird but when my friends all agreed it was weird I began just to find the girls liking it to be the rather strange, don't get me wrong there are some lovely people who like it but its just those who insist on drawing it and producing it which hack me off. why can't they use their well drawn men and make a nice seinen or josei which I'd enjoy.Any ways I'm glad that communties such as these exist!

Its not because of fanpairings in general that are the main cause of widespread yaoi fans.
There are yaoi shows out there...lots of em O.o .So dont blame the fans.Blame the creators that made it in the first place.
Here are a list of some of these yaoi anime:

Besides that.Yes i can understand its uncomfortable for straight men out there to put up with seeing yaoi everywhere.They should try categorizing it more.Maybe there will be less complaints.Like make a yaoi section or something.
On the subject of cannon pairings.There are cannon yaoi pairings in non yaoi anime.Such as Peacemaker Kurogane,Get Backers,Ouran Host Club,Weiss Kreuz and Saint Seiya.
But you have to admit.This site is kind of double standards.We have had to put up with mens perverted ways for years!.So let us have our fun as you have yours.Lets all agree to disagree and watch our yaoi and yuri in peace.That sound good? ^-^
